Character Counts at Hannalei!

Here are the character traits we will focus on, each month at school. Be sure to ask your Stingray how they can demonstrate good character!

Responsibility October

Trustworthiness November/December

Caring January/February

Respect March/April

Fairness May/June

The Six Pillars of Character is a framework for teaching good character and is composed of six ethical traits everyone can agree upon. Learn more about our Character Counts Program HERE.

BOOK SWAP

Get fresh books for winter reading!

Trade the gently used books you no longer read for ones you would like to read!

Bring in your gently used books to the library (no torn or missing pages, no writing/coloring inside) and receive a ticket for each book you bring in. Bring books in no later than Wednesday, December 13.

On Thursday, December 14th, students will bring their tickets to the library during morning recess and pick out “new” books.

***Due to time limits, there will be a maximum exchange of 10 books.

PTA Box Top News

Thanks to all the students for bringing in their box tops. This month we brought in 980 box tops. Great job students!

The class that brought in the most Box tops was Mrs.Bailey's class. They brought in 238 with an average of 7 per student.

The Box Top hero for this month is Alyssa Jones from Mrs.Bailey's class. She brought in 185 Box Tops. Way to go Alyssa!!!

Chloe Maclean from Mrs. Gephart's class won the drawing of eating lunch where ever she wants with a friend.
This month 40 students brought in at least 10 Box Tops which earned them an otter pop at lunch, Awesome job Hannalei students. Keep on clipping!

And don't forget, if we reach our goal of $1,500 for box tops, Mrs. Zachry has agreed to become a human sundae. Lets do this together. Bring in your box tops!
